Micro manufacturing is posing fundamental problems in terms of realizing miniaturized parts and systems in real world of manufacturing [A. Unal, J. Acoust. Soc. Am. Suppl. 1 88, S20 (1990)]. Acoustic emissions combined with modern artificial neural network based intelligent signals analysis may present new possibilities. Some real life industrial examples will be considered in this presentation.
