It is of interest to be able to compute the acoustical properties of fibrous materials from the fiber density and thickness of materials such as glass wool. These properties are mainly determined by the air flow resistance of the fibrous material. Theoretical calculations of air flow resistance will be presented and compared with measurements on glass wool.
