LECTURER IN SENSORY NEUROSCIENCE

 

The Department of Psychology seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Sensory Neuroscience from September 2006, as part of the Faculty of Science and Technology’s Foundation Lecturer scheme aimed at early career academics.

The successful candidate will show outstanding research potential, with evidence of, and plans for, high quality publications and external research funding. Research interests that complement departmental research strengths would be an advantage, particularly in the area of hearing, in which we have recently invested. The appointee will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in sensory neuroscience and/or cognition and research methods, and particularly to a new MSc in Hearing, Speech, Language planned for October 2007, as well as development of specialist courses for continuing professional development. Candidates should have a PhD in Psychology, excellent communications skills, and be enthusiastic about teaching and administrative duties and working as part of a team.

 

Salary: Appointment will be made on the A scale (£24,352-£27,929 pa)
