| Regarding Sennheiser headphones: during my postdocs I
used Sennheiser HD 250 linear II headphones exclusively at the
Psychophysics Lab at Boys Town Hospital and I and my subjects found them light
and comfortable.  Their only shortcoming was a tendency to slowly slip down
the subject's head as the height adjustment loosened during the test session, so
that they sat on top of the ear rather than surrounding it.  But they were
far superior to the TDH-49s I used during my doctoral work, in that they
provided a much better acoustic seal around the ear, thus better blocking out
any remaining environmental noise, and were easier to keep clean when running
many subjects (just a wipe with a damp cloth does the trick). - Dr. Lance Nizami, PhD Decatur, GA |
