Call for Proposals to Host ICAD2009 & ICAD2010

(please forward as appropriate, and our apologies for multiple posts)

The ICAD Board is accepting proposals to host the International Conference on Auditory Display (ICAD) in 2009 and in 2010.

Initiated in 1992, the ICAD conference is the premier international venue for presentation of top-quality work on sonification, auditory display, auditory interfaces, and related topics. ICAD is an annual, single track meeting that includes a full program of paper talks, poster sessions, workshops, demos, and additional features such as concerts and exhibits. ICAD2008 will be held in Paris, France, in June, 2008.

Groups interested in hosting the ICAD conference in either 2009 or 2010 are asked to contact Bruce Walker, the president of ICAD, with a two-page expression of interest. A complete expression of interest should be received as soon as possible, and most preferably by 02 May, 2008, and include:

· Proposed date and location of the conference

· Committee members who would be responsible for organizing the conference

· Institution(s) who will be helping to sponsor the conference

· Potential venue for the conference

· Accommodations for conference attendees with their approximate cost

· A rough outline of the proposed conference program

· A rough social program proposal

· Other information that will help the Board evaluate the proposal.

Additional information can be found on the ICAD website, including links to all the previous conferences:

Any questions or pre-proposal expressions of interest are also certainly welcome. Send all correspondence to bruce.walker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
