Tenure Track Position Announcement



The Department of Psychology at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 2009.

 

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or ABD status in cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a related field.  Preference will be given to candidates who can teach some combination of the following undergraduate courses (listed in order of importance): research methods and statistics, sensation and perception, cognitive psychology, physiological psychology, capstone seminar in psychology, introductory psychology.

 

Preferred applicants will also demonstrate promise for a high-quality research program, a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, and a strong commitment to a collegial environment. Responsibilities will also include supervising student research and serving on departmental, school and university committees.
