POSITION: Lab Coordinator
PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT
UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA, LAS VEGAS

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Auditory Cognition and Development Lab conducts behavioral research on how infants, children, and adults perceive, learning about, and understand auditory structures such as music and speech, and the role played by culture and music training in facilitating development of musical knowledge. We are seeking a Lab Coordinator who will manage all aspects of research in the lab, including participant recruitment, scheduling, public relations, database maintenance, ordering and maintaining equipment and supplies, conducting experiments, supervision, training, and evaluation of research assistants, and some administrative assistance to principle investigator. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be comfortable with basic computer tasks (i.e. word processing and spreadsheets), and experience with database programs, graphical and sound programs, and web design is preferred but not required. Preference will be given to applicants who have sales/customer service experience, experience working in a research lab, supervisory experience, working with families and/or small children, and/or who have a background in Psychology or Music or both. No minimum education is required but a an undergraduate degree is preferred.
