Re: dynamic compression of comertials



Note that even without any compression at all, commercials 
by their nature will be louder.  In effect, they are like 
"climax" or "dramatic" program scenes.  Comparing the 
program to the commercial is like comparing symphonic music 
(which typically has a wide dynamic range) to heavy metal 
rock which is loud by design.
