[AUDITORY] Call for Papers: The Wind Project

Submissions from Auditory and Music Perception researchers are encouraged.

Call for Papers

The goal of the Wind Project is to present papers that delve deeply in to the structure and intent of contemporary flute music in the form of an online journal.  We are interested in presenting papers that help the musical community understand twentieth and twenty-first century flute repertoire either through an analytical approach or in-depth examination of performance issues.

It is the aim of the journal to expand the resources on contemporary flute music and to support flutists, professional and amateur, by creating an easily accessible body of information about contemporary flute repertoire and performance.  All papers submitted must support this mission.

For its inaugural issue, The Wind Project is seeking scholarly writings on the flute music of the late twentieth century and the twenty-first century. Papers that focus on new complexity or alternative tunings are encouraged but all papers dealing with flute repertoire written from 1970 through present will be considered.  Please visit the website: thewindproject.com for more specific submission guidelines.

Deadline for submissions:  November 30, 2013

PLEASE SEND ALL SUBMISSIONS TO LISA CELLA WITH “PAPER SUBMISSION” IN THE SUBJECT LINE AT: windproject@xxxxxxxxx
