DSP Technology Engineer II Position Available

Starkey Hearing Technologies, an equal opportunity employer and a recognized world is providing the highest quality hearing technology available, has an exciting opportunity for a full-time DSP technology engineer at its international headquarters located in Minnesota, USA. This position is responsible for developing real-time DSP firmware and related software for hearing aids research.

Qualifications

A Master’s or higher degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related field is required. Candidates with a bachelor degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related field and 3+ years of applicable experience may be considered. Past experience with hearing aids development is a highly desirable.

Knowledge and Skills

Proficiency in Matlab is required
Proficiency in C/C++ is required
Proficiency in assembly language is required
Proficiency in real-time fixed-point DSP design and implementation is required
Knowledge of firmware/software development process is required
Strong problem solving skills are required
Good verbal and written communication skills are required
Good interpersonal skills are required
Familiarity with typical hearing aid algorithms, such as microphone array processing, noise suppression or feedback cancellation is a plus

Salary

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
