Empirical Musicology Review Vol.8 - Music and Shape

Volume 8 of Empirical Musicology Review, which is a special volume focusing on Music and Shape, guest edited by Daniel Leech-Wilkinson and Mats Küssner, is now available online. It is divided into three issues, focusing on aspects of pedagogy and performance, motion shapes, and perception and theory.

The journal pioneers a "Public Peer Review" practice that is intended to encourage scholarly dialog and reward reviewers for timely and thoughtful engagement with submissions. The journal is published four times per year and provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Previous editors include David Butler and Peter Keller. The current editors are Nicola Dibben and Renee Timmers. It can be accessed at www.emusicology.org.
