Key Responsibilities

In order to help Cochlear continue to improve hearing performance with cochlear implants and other implantable devices, we are recruiting for a Research Studies Specialist in our Americas head office based in Centennial, CO.

To be successful in this role you'll be able to coordinate and conduct research studies aimed at improving cochlear implant outcomes. You'll work collaboratively with clinicians, scientists, and engineers to help test novel stimulation methods. This role is responsible for coordinating the parts of an active clinical research laboratory (documenting, communicating, scheduling) as well as working with patients to collect data.

In this permanent role you'll have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to Cochlear's successful history of innovation by applying your knowledge of hearing, cochlear implants, conducting experiments, and coordinating research studies. You'll know you've been successful in this role when you've become an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team.


Key Requirements

To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience in your application and at interview:

+ Post-graduate qualification in Audiology or Hearing Sciences Related Field (M.A., M.S., or Au.D. degree).
+ Experience in data collection from human subjects.
+ Experience in the fitting and programming of cochlear implants.
+ Diligence, competence, passion, and attention to detail.
+ Strong ability to organize tasks and manage time effectively.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
+ Knowledge of human subjects protection and good clinical practices.
