AW: extracting cognitive load from recorded speech

Dear Erik,

you may want to look at the Interspeech 2014 ComPare Cognitive Load Sub-Challenge Task:

http://emotion-research.net/sigs/speech-sig/is14-compare

There is a baseline paper here:

http://emotion-research.net/sigs/speech-sig/is2014_compare.pdf

Many participants contributed their approaches to determining cognitive load from a speech wave form, so there are many papers from them out there, too.

Cheers,

Björn

Betreff: extracting cognitive load from recorded speech

Dear list,

I'm looking for some help in finding approaches that can extract a subject's cognitive load (effort) from a speech waveform, which would be recorded while performing one or more cognitively demanding tasks. The cognitive load itself could be determined by a listening task with varying degrees of difficulty, but work from other contexts will be helpful to look at as well.

Many thanks,

Erik
