I looked at the index in the hope of finding a recent thread on MRI compatible headphones but have had no luck.
I am looking to replace an aging electrostatic, MRI compatible headphone set. There are some headphone systems marketed as MRI compatible but I either don’t like the quality (even though they are affordable) or they are too expensive.
I have read that Stax and Koss make electrostatic headphones that can be modified so that they can be used in the scanner. Does anybody know how these would need to be modified not only to be MR-safe but also don’t cause artefact? Worried
about copper wiring etc. If someone has advice/experience they would be willing to share on specific models I’d also be very grateful.
