Thread-topic: Looking for demographics for middle ear hearing loss

I'm exploring a new bone conduction device to support people with “mechanical” hearing loss due to middle ear issues. I have been trying to find numbers for how many people that may be affected but so far I have found no data.

Are there any demographics published about this subgroup of hearing impaired?

Secondarily, of that number. How many have surgical intervention?
