Dear Yoshi I think your account of your multiple voices phenomenon is essentially correct. It is similar to my account of the duplex perception of speech in Ch.7 of my book. The idea is that different analyses are allocated to the same perceptual object. The account is consistent with the view of perception as a description-building process, a view that annoys the "direct perception" people. - Al
