*** PLEASE POST *** PLEASE POST *** BTSP: Speech and Hearing Section Department of Engineering, University of Leicester, Leicester, LE1 7RH, UK THREE-YEAR PhD STUDENTSHIP A three-year PhD studentship is available in the "Speech and Hearing" group at the University of Leicester. The studentship, which is available for UK or EU nationals only (sorry!), includes payment of all University tuition fees for the three-year period. A maintenance allowance (currently 4720 pounds per year: under review) is also provided. Prospective candidates should have a First Class or Upper Second Class degree in an appropriate subject. Previous programming experience (preferably in C++), and an interest in speech and hearing will be an advantage. The successful applicant will join a very active and expanding group involved mainly with the computer simulation of human auditory processing. The particular project is concerned with the simulation of auditory brainstem responses, and is likely to involve collaboration with clinical staff working at Leicester Royal Infirmary. The studentship will begin in September, 1995, or as soon as possible thereafter.
