Dear Colleagues, I will begin shortly to write an article on the current status of auditory scene analysis. Although my book on the subject was published in 1990, it only reviewed articles up to 1987. I would like to request that researchers send me any of their articles that were not reviewed in 1990 and which they believe to be relevant. I intend to include research on animals, physiological studies, and computational approaches, as well as the more traditional testing of human subjects. I apologize in advance for the fact that, without turning my article into an annotated bibliography, I will be unable to review all the material that is sent to me, but I hope to catch all the major trends. If any of your papers review many other articles by yourself or others, they would be extremely helpful, and I would appreciate it if you wrote the word "Review" at the top of the first page. When there is a choice to make, please send me the one that is in a journal or book, rather than an in-house reprint. Please send them to: Al Bregman Dept of Psychology, McGill University 1205 Docteur Penfield Avenue, Montreal, Quebec, Canada H3A 1B1. My sincere thanks to those of you who take the trouble to do this. Al ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Albert S.
