Dear Al, List, I don't for a moment mean to suggest that the auditory system can't expoint spatial separation of sound sources - only that it does not appear to do so via localisation. Binaural cues are exploited though some other mechanism than grouping by ITD or ILD. However, this mechanism is vulnerable to reverberation. John.
