Jim: Most of the illusions were generated using the CARL software package, running under a version of UNIX which was ported to the NeXT. I don't know whether this package has been ported to linux, but this should be fairly straightforward thing to do. My email is ddeutsch(at)ucsd.edu and my phone number is 858-453-1558. -Diana Deutsch Dianna researched many audio illusions on Next. Do any of you know of code to produce them on other OSs especially Dos or linux on PC sound cards? Do you know her e-mail and or phone number? If you quote me, please put your comments first. I have already listened to mine. Thanks. Thanks.
