I had some success ~1985 with cheap silicon rubber pinnae which were sold to be used in hearing aid shops to teach the proper insertion of hearing aids. I don't remember where the distributor was located. The pinnae were of high quality and clearly had been molded from some individual rather than sculpted. These worked well in heads based on foam mannequin heads but with the addition of sculptors' plastilene to more nearly approximate an accurate head in shape and in density around the ear. Knowles BT-1759 mikes were mounted at the eardrum rather than the entrance to the ear canal. Using a wig seemed to help, too. Also, for you Kemar enthusiasts there are some images at www.fp3d.com/AL-100 which may be of interest. Bo Bo Gehring Focal Point 3D Audio ----- Original Message ----- From: "Didier A.
