Applications will shortly be invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow or Research Assistant at the Centre for the Neural Basis of Hearing, Physiology Department, University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K http://www.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/personal/roy.patterson/cnbh/ At ARO, contact Hedwig Gockel, Ray Meddis or Brian Moore for more details. The project involves research on temporal processing in the auditory pathway from cochlea to cortex using perceptual experiments (psychophysics), auditory modelling and brain imaging (fMRI and MEG). Applicants should have an interest in auditory perception and a background in experimental psychology, brain imaging, physics, engineering or computer science. Applicants should have, or expect to soon have, a PhD, or equivalent in an appropriate discipline. The post is available from May 2002 for 3 years in the first instance and the post may, subject to the availability of funding, be renewed for a further period or periods. Starting salary £17,451 - £26,229 pa depending on qualifications and experience.
