I would not recommend the use of bose cubes. Ever. You will have an extremely limited frequency response, (approx 280Hz to 13KHz) as the paper cones are too small to accurately reproduce midrange, yet too large to produce treble extension. And the frequency response within the operating range is far from flat - a peak at about 7k. For an in depth review, with specs: http://www.intellexual.net/bose.html Plus, you can’t obtain the loudspeakers without the subwoofer system. The cost is also many times more than other options. Good luck... consider pro audio loudspeakers as well - JBL Control series springs to mind for compact boxes with ease of install and reasonable frequency response. Specs for this sort of box are usually on the manufacturer’s website.
