David, The CIPIC database looks great (I wish that it had been around ten years ago!), but if you want *vintage* HRTF data, look no further than: http://sound.media.mit.edu/KEMAR.html Free dummy-head HRTFs available on the web since 1994. Torso included in the measurements at no extra charge. As described in: Gardner, William G. and Martin, Keith D. (1995), ``HRTF Measurements of a KEMAR'', J. Acoust. Soc. Am., 97(6), June 1995.
