Is this because the NAL etc algorithms have not been configured with = such losses in mind? I now hand-tune hearing aids in such cases ... which takes a LOT of = time. I have since spoke to colleagues who agree that they are also forced to = hand tune hearing aids for Reverse Slope loss patients. Is there a better way? What do YOU do in such cases? regards, Richard ------=_NextPart_000_0030_01C5CA4C.9B93B100 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.2900.2722" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial>Hi,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial>In hearing aid fitting, the manufacturer's = fitting=20 software seems to fail miserably on reverse slope hearing = losses.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial>Is this because the NAL etc algorithms have not = been=20 configured with such losses in mind?</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial>I now hand-tune hearing aids in such cases ... = which takes=20 a LOT of time.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial>I have since spoke to colleagues who agree that = they are=20 also forced to hand tune hearing aids for Reverse Slope loss=20 patients.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial>Is there a better way?&nbsp; </FONT><FONT = face=3DArial>What=20 do YOU do in such cases?</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial>regards,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial>Richard</FONT></DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV></BODY></HTML> ------=_NextPart_000_0030_01C5CA4C.9B93B100--
