Dear List, Has any body have used 'FIX' programme from UCL, Department of Linguistics, for analysis of confusion matrices? It is based on Wang, M. D., and Bilger, R. C. (1973). "Consonant confusions in noise: A study of perceptual features," J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 54, 1248-1266. I would like to use that for one of my project and it is giving some of these trouble. 1.At c:if i give command 'fix' an error message "failed to open menu file c:\fix\menu.fix." is appearing. 2.In what format SR matrices should be? Can it be in .doc or .txt format or it has to be in .dat format. Here is the link for the programme http://holtz.phon.ucl.ac.uk/resource/software.html under the heading "Fix" Regards -- Stand on the shoulders of giants Mr.Ajith Kumar U Junior Research Fellow, Department of Audiology, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Naimisham Campus, Manasagangothri, Mysore,570006 INDIA.
