This position is part of a comprehensive growth plan for Biomedical Sciences and Engineering at Purdue. We seek an individual with expertise in the area of systems level neurophysiology and/or neuroengineering. Areas of interest include computational neuroscience and modeling, synaptic organization and plasticity, neural networks, sensory processing and learning and memory. The successful candidate will be expected to interact with faculty and students in both departments and the university- wide neuroscience group. The central criteria for this position are excellence in research and the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate students in the biomedical sciences and biomedical engineering effectively. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree to be considered at the Associate Professor level. The candidate should have a track record of independent extramurally funded research and excellent teaching skills. Salaries and benefits are highly competitive.
