Hi, First: many thanks to Stefan & Bob for their feedback on speech shaped noise! Now ... I am about to write a WIN32 tool to take broadband data from a microphone and integrate/average it to form a basic sound level meter with a response time of around 1 - 5 seconds. However before I spend a day or so of my life working with Borland C/C++ does anyone know of / have a Windows app which can so this? A console mode program would be fine ... I simply want to produce a single "input strength" number once every few seconds. I will be using this tool to check 2 signals for being equal ... so I am looking for repeatability but I am NOT looking for a correctly calibrated absolute level sound meter Thanks, Richard (UK) --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
