Their only shortcoming was a tendency to slowly slip down the subject's head as the height adjustment loosened during the test session, so that they sat on top of the ear rather than surrounding it. But they were far superior to the TDH-49s I used during my doctoral work, in that they provided a much better acoustic seal around the ear, thus better blocking out any remaining environmental noise, and were easier to keep clean when running many subjects (just a wipe with a damp cloth does the trick). - Dr. Lance Nizami, PhD Decatur, GA -------------------------------1141317304 Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; charset=3DUS-ASCII"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.2800.1106" name=3DGENERATOR></HEAD> <BODY id=3Drole_body style=3D"FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: #000000; FONT-FAMILY:=20= Arial"=20 bottomMargin=3D7 leftMargin=3D7 topMargin=3D7 rightMargin=3D7><FONT id=3Drol= e_document=20 face=3DArial color=3D#000000 size=3D2> <DIV>Regarding Sennheiser headphones: during my postdocs&nbsp;I=20 used&nbsp;Sennheiser HD 250 linear II headphones&nbsp;exclusively at the=20 Psychophysics Lab at Boys Town Hospital and I and my subjects found them lig= ht=20 and comfortable.&nbsp; Their only shortcoming was a tendency to slowly slip=20= down=20 the subject's head as the height adjustment loosened during the test session= , so=20 that they sat on top of the ear rather than surrounding it.&nbsp; But they w= ere=20 far superior to the TDH-49s&nbsp;I used during my doctoral work, in that the= y=20 provided a much better acoustic seal around the ear, thus better blocking ou= t=20 any remaining environmental noise, and were easier to keep clean when runnin= g=20 many subjects (just a wipe with a damp cloth does the trick). </DIV> <DIV>- Dr. Lance Nizami, PhD</DIV> <DIV>Decatur, GA</DIV></FONT></BODY></HTML> -------------------------------1141317304--
