Au se= in de son departement scientifique, des equipes specialisees menent des travaux de developpement informatique et de recherche dans les domaines d= e l'acoustique de la psychoacoustique, de la synthese et du traitement des sons, des systemes temps reel, des interfaces homme-machine et des outils= d'aide a la composition. PRESENTATION DU PROJET : Les images de synth=E8se ont envahi de nombreux domaines multim=E9dias, d= essins anim=E9s, jeux vid=E9os et films notamment. Parall=E8lement =E0 ce ph=E9n= om=E8ne de fond, la voix reste aujourd'hui le parent pauvre en la mati=E8re: elle est la plupart du temps simplement enregistr=E9e par des acteurs, synchronis=E9e= souvent de fa=E7on =AB manuelle =BB avec le mouvement des personnages et n'utilis= e presque aucune technique de synth=E8se, sauf =E0 de rares exceptions. Le but du projet est donc de permettre l'utilisation de voix de synth=E8s= e dans le multim=E9dia en g=E9n=E9ral et peut-=EAtre dans d'autres applications = artistiques comme le th=E9=E2tre. Parmi les probl=E8mes principaux pos=E9s =E0 la recherche :=20 - Ce sont des voix sp=E9cifiques qui doivent =EAtre entendues,=20 - La synth=E8se doit =EAtre de tr=E8s haute qualit=E9 - La destination cr=E9ative et artistique impose de pouvoir modifier les caract=E9ristiques des voix =E0 volont=E9 en fonction des effets particul= iers ou artistiques d=E9sir=E9s.=20 L'objectif que se fixe ce projet n=E9cessite un certain nombre de moyens conceptuels et logiciels sans lesquels la cha=EEne de production de voix = de synth=E8se ne pourrait fonctionner, et qui sont compl=E9mentaires: Les m=E9thodes: - Transformation d'identit=E9 de voix - Transformation de type et de nature de voix - Synth=E8se de voix expressive - Synth=E8se =E0 partir du texte - Synth=E8se =E0 partir de corpus d'acteurs et personnages - Interfaces utilisateur graphiques interactives Les utilisations: - Doublage simple, ou avec effets, expressivit=E9 - Synth=E8se =E0 partir du texte simple, ou avec effets et expressivit=E9= - Post-processing Ce projet du r=E9seau RIAM-ANVAR sera men=E9 en collaboration avec France= -T=E9l=E9com, l'IRISA, le Studio Chinkel et la soci=E9t=E9 BeTomorrow. Parallel to this phenomenon, the voice remains today= under-studied: most of the time, it is simply recorded by actors, synchr= onized often in a "manual" way with the movement of the characters and do= es not use any synthesis technique, except with rare exceptions. The goal of the project is thus to allow the use of voice synthesis in mu= ltimedia in general and in other artistic applications like theatre. Amon= g the principal research problems :=20 - Very specific voices must be produced,=20 - Synthesis must be of very high quality=20 - The creative and artistic destination necessitates at will modification= s of the characteristics of the voices according to the particular or art= istic effects desired. The objectives that this project fixes require a certain number of concep= tual and software means without which the production chain of synthetic v= oice could not function, and who are complementary:=20 Methods:=20 - Transformation of voice identity - Transformation of type and nature of voices=20 - Synthesis of expressive voice=20 - Text-to-Speech Synthesis=20 - Synthesis from corpus of actors and characters=20 - Interactive graphic user interfaces=20 Uses:=20 - Simple Doubling, or with effects and expressivity=20 - Text-to-Speech Synthesis, with effects and expressivity=20 - Post-processing=20 This project of the RIAM-ANVAR French network will be carried out in coll= aboration with France Telecom, IRISA, the Chinkel Studio and the BeTomorr= ow company.
