Tarun! Allthough I couldn't agree more with Pablo about learning an (object oriented) programming language, such as c++, there is an alternative that might by useful, namely E-prime http://www.pstnet.com/products/e-prime/ It can be used to collect all kinds of psychofysical data with the help of a computer and the programming is done in an environment similar to Visual Basic, which might be less intimidating than starting from scratch with c++.
