The program supports scientific research projects related to the impact of music on the human condition, such as the links between music study and early childhood development, the effects of music therapy and the medical and occupational well being of music professionals, as well as, archiving and preservation projects that safeguard the history of recorded sound related to music in the Americas. The application is currently available online and the deadline to submit applications is Oct. 2, 2006.
