These audiologists will work on a variety of short-= and long-term research projects that will have an impact on future hearing= aid technology and bring benefit to the hearing impaired. Work will be collaborative with other= researchers at Starkey and collaborating universities, but will also inclu= de freedom for independent idea development. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will have: =E2=80=A2 an Au.D. or Ph.D. in Audiology; =E2=80=A2 extensive experience conducting experiments with hearing impaired= subjects; =E2=80=A2 expertise in speech tests and psychoacoustics; =E2=80=A2 skills in the use of audiological and psychoacoustic instrumentat= ion; =E2=80=A2 an understanding of hearing aid technology and fitting systems; =E2=80=A2 knowledge of the audiology research literature; =E2=80=A2 knowledge of current hearing aid technology; =E2=80=A2 familiarity with audiometer and real ear probe microphone measure= ments; =E2=80=A2 good written and verbal communication skills; =E2=80=A2 excellent organizational skills. RESPONSIBILITIES =E2=80=A2 work with research group members to design, execute and analyze e= xperimental studies; =E2=80=A2 contribute to the development of new research ideas; =E2=80=A2 assist with recruiting and qualifying potential research subjects= ; =E2=80=A2 run experimental protocols on research subjects; =E2=80=A2 manage experimental documentation and procedures, including writi= ng experimental protocols and final reports; =E2=80=A2 maintain up-to-date knowledge on hearing aid technology and advan= ces in audiology; =E2=80=A2 publish research in audiology related journals, and present resul= ts at conferences; =E2=80=A2 collaborate with university researchers.
