Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, conducting research, directing student research, and participating in service activities. Successful candidates will hold a Ph.D. in speech and hearing science, speech-language pathology or a related discipline (e.g., psycholinguistics, cognitive neuroscience) and will show evidence of potential for excellence in research and teaching. Candidates with expertise in all areas in the targeted disciplines will be considered. Post-doctoral experience, experience with university teaching, and success in obtaining extramural support for research are desired, but not required. Full-time, twelve-month renewable position (non-tenure track) beginning August 1, 2008. Review of applications will begin February 15, 2008 Responsibilities include clinical supervision of students, teaching courses in the Au.D. curriculum, and some administrative duties. Opportunities for research are available but not required for the position. The successful applicant will have an Au.D. or Ph.D. degree, clinical certification (CCC-A), and be eligible for Arizona audiology licensure. Evidence of strong clinical experience and skills in the area of adult amplification and diagnostic audiology are preferred. Experience in university clinic supervision and teaching is desired but not required. For appointment at the associate level, at least 5 years of clinical experience is required. The Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Arizona State University (www.shs.asu.edu) offers the B.S., M.A., Au.D., and Ph.D. degrees. The program is CAA-accredited. The Department has 13 full-time academic faculty, 12 clinical faculty, 200 undergraduate majors, and 125 graduate students.
