Special Session on Multi-Modal Music Information Retrieval (3MIR) at the 11th ACM International Conference on Multimedia Information (MIR) (March 29-31, Philadelphia PA USA) * CALL FOR PAPERS * The use of multiple sources of information has great potential to improve Music IR.  Heterogeneous, multi-modal information sources may include audio tracks, symbolic musical scores, text-based tags or web pages, and numeric ratings. This special session will bring together top researchers who are actively focusing on combining multiple sources of music information to address important Music IR tasks. * Papers are due to special session committee by Friday Nov. 13th at 11:59pm EST. * To submit, email a pdf of your manuscript to MultiModalMusicIR@xxxxxxxx * Feedback on submission will be given on Tuesday Dec. 1st. * If accepted, final camera-ready papers will be due on Tuesday Dec. 22nd. * Special session papers are regarded as full papers at ACM MIR 2010 and will be published in the full conference proceedings. * Papers should be on novel work and should not have appeared in any other conferences, workshops, or journals. * At least one author of each paper is expected to register at the conference (March 29-31 in Philadelphia PA USA). * Papers can be a maximum of 10 pages in the ACM style.
