Dear colleagues: May I also add to Al's very useful reminder, an additional reminder to please avoid ad-hominem/feminam comments, even if you disagree violently with someone's opinion. It is just not that helpful or conducive to the open exchange of ideas to post comments like "haven't you read the literature for the last 10 years?" or words to that effect.
