Cheers - Jonathan Berger The Denning Family Provostial Professor in Music ******************** Assistant Professor of Music Perception/Cognition The Department of Music at Stanford University seeks to make a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of music perception and cognition. Areas of expertise might include psychoacoustics, cognitive neuroscience, computational modeling of music perception, and other related disciplines. The successful candidate will have accomplished doctoral- level work in an area related to music, be fluent in music (theory, performance, or composition) and be committed to interdisciplinary research. She/he will be expected to make a significant contribution to research in the area, to engage in research with scholars and faculty, to attract graduate students, and to help develop, through research and teaching, a vibrant program at CCRMA. Applicants should send curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a brief statement of research interest, and sample syllabi of courses they have taught or would like to teach at the introductory and graduate level (one each).
