The Psychology Department is comprised of 31 faculty in three interactive graduate programs: Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences, Behavioral Neuroscience, and Clinical. The appointment will be in Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences, whose current strengths are in visual and auditory perception, learning and memory, language processing, categorization and executive function. Faculty within the Behavioral Neuroscience program investigate neural development, alcohol/drug abuse, plasticity, memory, sensory coding, stress, and animal models of Parkinson=92s disease and Korsakoff=92s syndrome. Research foci in the Clinical Psychology program include the psychopathology of anxiety disorders, autism, depression, and schizophrenia, as well as research on marital dysfunction, alcohol abuse, and dissociation.
