Regards, Tiffany Johnson University of Kansas Department of Speech-Language-Hearing: Sciences and Disorders Assistant Professor Ad The Department of Speech-Language-Hearing: Sciences and Disorders at the University of Kansas seeks to hire an Assistant Professor. Candidates who can contribute to the climate of diversity in the college are of high interest. Special consideration will be given to applicants committed to excellence who can contribute to the University's innovative, collaborative, and multidisciplinary initiatives to educate leaders, build healthy communities, and make discoveries that will change the world. See http://www.provost.ku.edu/planning/. Required: Ph.D., ABD, or terminal degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related discipline expected by start date of appointment. Ph.D. is required within 12 months of appointment start date. Expertise in (1) Hearing Science and/or Disorders, or other aspects of Communication Sciences and/or Disorders that complement those of existing faculty. Commitment to a program of scholarly research related to area of expertise as evidenced by one or more of the following: (1) graduate/post graduate coursework, (2) letter of application detailing research program, (3) conference presentations, (4) publications, and/or (5) external funding. Ability to teach courses and mentor students in area of expertise as evidenced by one or more of the following: (1) coursework, (2) sample course syllabi, (3) graduate teaching or mentoring experience, (4) peer evaluations, and/or (5) student evaluations. Possession of the professional qualities and skills necessary for success as a faculty member as evidenced through phone interviews and/or on-campus interview.
