Best wishes, Mark ----------- Principal Technologist BBC R&D is looking for an inspirational and experienced Technical Leader to join its northern facility based in MediaCity:UK, Salford. We are looking for outstanding engineering leadership in contributing to the creation of a new broadcasting system focusing on the impact of internet technologies throughout production and onward down the distribution and delivery chain - from camera and microphone to the connected homes of the future. The successful candidate will have proven experience of delivering major R&D programmes in real-world environments, and will be capable of building and leading technical teams of experts involving software and hardware engineers, scientists, mathematicians and designers. We welcome applicants with significant experience in content creation methodologies, workflows and cross platform production including metadata, CGI, audio, audio-visual and networking technologies. Only those with the ambition and experience to lead world class researchers focused on the convergence of broadcast and digital media workflows should apply.
