Th= e position will commence in August 2012. The applicant will be involved in= an Australian Research Council project investigating emotional and cogniti= ve responses to music. We are seeking an ambitious, team playing, collegia= l and hard working individual who is seeking to fast-track their research o= utput. Non-local expressions will need to make their own visa, relocation = and living arrangements as required. Interested individuals are invited t= o submit an EOI indicating if and how they meet the criteria below and a re= levant, 2 page CV plus list of publications (if appropriate). A graduate d= egree qualification in at least one of the listed areas, and a strong found= ation in music is essential. Qualification in Music. Qualification in Music Cognition. Qualification in Engineering or Science. Qualification in Psychology. Qualification in Mathematics (with specialisation in statistics and time-se= ries analysis). Programming experience in Matlab and/or R Statistics Package. Programming experience in Max/MSP. Other programming and data manipulation experiences. Experience and designing, conducting, managing and analysing psychological = experiments. Ability to work effectively and independently in a team. Ability to work to tight deadlines. Motivation in rapid expansion of publication track record in a collaborativ= e environment. Motivation to apply for external funding. Ability to complete and document projects.
