We are seeking a full-time Research Assistant to join the Music and Neuroimaging Laboratory (www.musicianbrain.com) and assist with behavioral and imaging studies on children with autism. Main responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day operations of research protocols, such as interacting with children and family members, cognitive and language testing, data coding/transcriptions/management, as well as the acquisition and analysis of brain imaging data. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated interests in working with children with autism or children with special needs, as well as a Bachelor=92s degree and research experience, preferably in psychology, speech pathology, linguistics, or neuroscience. The candidate must be highly-motivated, hard-working, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, and must like working with children with special needs. Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and high attention to detail are also essential. Experience with imaging and behavioral management skills are highly desirable. This position is initially for one year, with possible renewal for a second year depending on performance and funding. Start date around August, but the search will continue until the position is filled.
