Dear all: There is a vacancy for a post-doctoral research assistant at Stirling University, in Computing Science and Mathematics, in the School of Natural Sciences. The project is the MEMS/CMOS Microphone project: a project funded by the UK EPSRC. The project has been running for about two years, jointly between Stirling and Edinburgh Universities, and aims to build a MEMS/CMOS microphone oriented towards sound perception and interpretation, and in which there are multiple sensors, each individually with individually rapidly adjustable gain. There is information about the project at and there are further particulars at The post is for approximately two years. For further information/discussion, email or phone me at the addresses below. Note that the closing date is very soon - slightly late applications will still be accepted. --Leslie Smith Professor Leslie S. Smith B.Sc.
