I=92m happy to answer any informal queries Apologies for any cross-posting Bob Investigator Scientist Cambridge The MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (CBSU) is an internationally=20 renowned research institute with state-of-the-art facilities. A postdoctoral position is available to work with Dr. Bob Carlyon on a=20 project entitled =93Using measures of neural survival to improve hearing=20 by cochlear implant users=94. This position is for a fixed term of 2=20 years 9 months and is funded by a grant from the charity Action on=20 Hearing Loss. The research will be carried out in collaboration with=20 colleagues at Addenbrooke=92s hospital, Cambridge. It combines an=20 investigation into fundamental processes of hearing by cochlear implant=20 users with the opportunity to directly apply the knowledge gained to=20 improve patient outcome. You will have, or be in the final stages of, a=20 Ph.D. in a relevant auditory discipline, experience in the field of=20 cochlear implants, and good numerical skills. The starting salary will be in the range of =A326,282 - =A329,885 per ann= um,=20 depending upon qualifications and experience.
