Dear list, A number of bursaries have been made available for our MA in Sonic Arts at Queen's University, Belfast. (http://www.qub.ac.uk/schools/SchoolofCreativeArts/StudyattheSchool/Masters/MAinSonicArts). The course provides a background in sound-related arts, both in terms of history/practice and in terms of the technical skills and knowledge required to work with sound. In the second semester, students specialise in two of fives topics (composition, performance, designing musical interaction, spatial audio, and computational acoustics), culminating in an individual summer project. For applicants seeking to study in 2014-15 up to 8 bursaries of £3,000 each will be available. These are generally awarded as a contribution against course fees. In order to be considered for one of these bursaries you must simply have made your application for a place on a programme through the Postgraduate Application Portal before 4pm on 30 April 2014. All applications received before that deadline will be automatically considered for an award. Please note that it is still possible to submit an application for one of the MA programmes in the School after the deadline of 30 April 2014, even though such applications will not be considered for an award. The application portal can be accessed via https://dap.qub.ac.uk/portal/user/u_login.php All the best, Trevor
