Hi all, The Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking applicants for the full time position of Director of Audiology. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience. This senior leadership position will be responsible for clinical, educational, research and administrative oversight of the Audiology Department at the University of Colorado Hospital and its satellite facilities and the development of these programs within the Otolaryngology Department in the School of Medicine. The Director of Audiology will be responsible for expanding educational and research opportunities on-campus, community collaboration, and continuing improvements in the patient experience and clinical flow. Audiologic evaluations on a part time basis are expected to appreciate and improve the patient experience. An audiologist with clinical and administrative experience and a track record in clinical, translational and/or outcomes research and graduate education is preferred. The Department of Otolaryngology's mission is to provide outstanding, cutting-edge clinical care, research, and state-of-the-art training. Our group of highly trained audiologists works in partnership with the otologic faculty to offer a full range of adult and children's services for deaf, hard-of-hearing and dizzy patients. We see over 13,000 patient visits per year at the University of Colorado Hospital. The Audiology Department has 12 audiologists on staff. Services provided include the full range of audiology, including diagnosis of hearing loss, rehabilitation, and vestibular evaluations. Graduate student education is a major part of our daily activities with trainees from the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at the Boulder Campus and other universities for their 4th year clinical experience. Education: Ph.D. in Audiology Required Qualifications: 3+ years of management experience, 5+ years of clinical and research experience Desired Qualifications: Experience as a Director of Audiology in an academic medical center, experience in a large audiology practice in an urban center providing comprehensive audiology services, proven track record of mentorship and leadership, strong history of collaboration, competitive for external research funding.
