Applications are invited for a permanent (indefinite tenure) faculty=20
position at the Associate Professor level (Maitre de Conferences) in=20
machine learning for distributed/multi-view machine listening and audio=20
content analysis.

-- Context

Telecom Paris [2] is a French public institution for engineering higher=20
education (grande ecole) and scientific research, founded in July 1878.=20
It is a founding member of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris [1], a=20
world-class scientific and technological institution. Located in=20
Palaiseau, at the Plateau de Saclay (Paris outskirts), this Institution=20
is a partnership between Ecole Polytechnique, ENSTA Paris, ENSAE Paris,=20
Telecom Paris and Telecom SudParis, with HEC as a key partner. Students=20
and faculty benefit from close relationships between the different=20
institutions.
The Information Processing and Communication Laboratory (LTCI) [3] is=20
Telecom Paris=E2=80=99 in-house research laboratory. Since January 2017, =
it has=20
continued the work previously carried out by the CNRS joint research=20
unit of the same name. The LTCI was created in 1982 and is known for its=20
extensive coverage of topics in the field of information and=20
communication technologies. The LTCI=E2=80=99s core subject areas are com=
puter=20
science, networks, data science, signal and image processing and digital=20
communications. The laboratory is also active in issues related to=20
systems engineering and applied mathematics.
The open position will be hosted by Telecom Paris=E2=80=99 Audio Data Ana=
lysis=20
and Signal Processing (ADASP) group [4], a subgroup of the statistics,=20
signal processing and machine learning (S=C2=B2A) team, within the Images=
,=20
Data & Signals (IDS) department [5].

The hired associate professor will be expected to:

Data Analysis and Signal Processing (ADASP) group

ations, including=20
collaborative activities with other Telecom Paris research departments=20
and teams, and research contracts with industrial players
=E2=80=A2=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 Submit proposals to national and internationa=
l research project calls

As a minimum requirement, the successful candidate will have:

=E2=80=A2=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 A track record of research and publication in=
 one or more of the=20
following areas: machine learning, signal processing or machine listening
=E2=80=A2=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 Experience in deep learning, audio data analy=
sis, machine=20
listening, music data analysis, multi-view learning, distributed learning
=E2=80=A2=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 Experience in teaching
=E2=80=A2=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 Good command of English

The ideal candidate will also (optionally) have:
