The position starts at the Assistant professor level, then it either: a) upgrades to Associate Professor after three years, if the candidate gets the National Scientific qualification (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale, see: https://abilitazione.miur.it/public/index.php?lang=eng ), based on objective scientific indicator standards, and passes an internal commission judgement, or b) it expires, if the above conditions do not apply. Research experience is requested in the field of Physics Applied to Medicine. The research activity will cover experimental and computational aspects of the physics of biological organisms, for diagnostic and therapeutic applications in Medical Physics, with a special focus on physiological acoustics and/or particle therapy, depending on the candidate experience.
