The post is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Counci= l (EPSRC), under a project titled "Immersive Audio-Visual 3D Scene Reproduc= tion Using a Single 360 Camera" with academic and industrial project partne= rs in the UK including Centre for Vision Speech and Signal Processing (CVSS= P) at the University of Surrey, Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (= ISVR) at the University of Southampton, BBC R&D and AudioScenic. The focus of the research will be to develop signal processing algorithms a= nd systems for acoustic property analysis and modelling from audio-visual i= nputs, and interactive rendering of synchronised audio-visual content in Vi= rtual Reality (VR) platforms. This work is built on the recent contributions of the principal investigato= r in the area of 3D scene reconstruction, 3D acoustic room modelling, and s= patial audio-visual contents rendering. The algorithms developed will be in= tegrated into a VR system. Closing date 12th September and further details can be found here: https://jobs.soton.ac.uk/Vacancy.aspx?ref=3D1468621FP Please share with anyone who may be interested. Informal enquiries can be s= ent to me at h.kim@xxxxxxxx<mailto:h.kim@xxxxxxxx> Best regards, Hansung Kim --_000_LO2P265MB2592F155849815036F33A0CAA6CF9LO2P265MB2592GBRP_ Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html xmlns:v=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns:o=3D"urn:schemas-micr= osoft-com:office:office" xmlns:w=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" = xmlns:dt=3D"uuid:C2F41010-65B3-11d1-A29F-00AA00C14882" xmlns:m=3D"http://sc= hemas.microsoft.com/office/2004/12/omml" xmlns=3D"http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-= html40">
<meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Type" content=3D"text/html; charset=3Dus-ascii"= > <meta name=3D"Generator" content=3D"Microsoft Word 15 (filtered medium)">
<body lang=3D"EN-GB" link=3D"#0563C1" vlink=3D"#954F72" style=3D"word-wrap:= break-word"> <div class=3D"WordSection1"> <p class=3D"MsoNormal"><span style=3D"font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Se= goe UI",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">Dear Auditory members= , <span style=3D"font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",san= s-serif;background:white">
<p class=3D"MsoNormal"><span style=3D"font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Se= goe UI",sans-serif;background:white">
<p class=3D"MsoNormal"><span style=3D"font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Se= goe UI",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">We are looking for a = postdoctoral researcher on 3D audio processing. <span style=3D"font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",san= s-serif;background:white">
<p class=3D"MsoNormal"><span style=3D"font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Se= goe UI",sans-serif;background:white">
<p class=3D"MsoNormal"><span style=3D"font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Se= goe UI",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">The post is funded by= the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), under a pr= oject titled “Immersive Audio-Visual 3D Scene Reproduction Using a Single 360 Camera” with academic and industrial= project partners in the UK including Centre for Vision Speech and Signal P= rocessing (CVSSP) at the University of Surrey, Institute of Sound and Vibra= tion Research (ISVR) at the University of Southampton, BBC R&D and AudioScenic.<span style=3D"font-siz= e:10.5pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif;background:white"><o:p= >
<p class=3D"MsoNormal"><span style=3D"font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Se= goe UI",sans-serif">
<span style=3D"color:black;background:white">The focus of the research will= be to develop signal processing algorithms and systems for acoustic proper= ty analysis and modelling from audio-visual inputs, and interactive renderi= ng of synchronised audio-visual content in Virtual Reality (VR) platforms. <span style=3D"background:white"= >
<p class=3D"MsoNormal"><span style=3D"font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Se= goe UI",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">This work is built on= the recent contributions of the principal investigator in the area of 3D s= cene reconstruction, 3D acoustic room modelling, and spatial audio-visual contents rendering.
