WORKSHOP ON WRITING A DIVERSITY STATEMENT=20 Many job applicants are now asked to submit a diversity statement along = with other materials, but because these statements are relatively new, = many applicants are unsure about the expectations. Further, employers = must learn how to evaluate these statements and effectively use them in = the hiring process. For early career and established acousticians alike, = diversity statements can be excellent tools for self-reflection, = allowing you to consider your equity and inclusion practices for all = aspects of your work including research, mentorship, outreach, teaching, = and service. The workshop will provide strategies for developing a = diversity statement as well as tools for evaluating them.
